With a beautiful downtown Los Angeles back drop, Insomniac Events pulled off yet another massive with upwards of 20,000 people.

The line included artists such as Paul Van Dyk, the Chemical Brothers (who put on an amazing show), Christopher Lawrence, Carl Cox, plus more.

My flash stopped working for no apparent reason a few hours into the event, hence the lack of more photos. Sorry, next time!

Once again, we found ourselves at the EchoPlex for Franki Chan’s Check Yo Ponytail. We were impressed considering just the night before, he had Diplo and Switch. This guy’s got a knack for what’s new.

Alex Ridha, otherwise known as Boys Noize, put down some of his tracks from his Oi Oi Oi album which was released just three days later. Coming from a land dominated by minimal techno, his sounds are a pleasant refreshment of grinding, well-produced dance music.

As for Simian Mobile Disco, the duo brought their entire performance getup (including VERY flashy lights [which made for nice photography and kept the mysticism of who these guys ARE] and synthesizers, enough to make every one drool).

Here you go! Boys Noize/Simian Mobile Disco.

Diplo photos HERE.

Sorry to have so few! Went out to see Air at the Greek Theatre right before and managed to miss Switch. FUCK. Next time.

As soon as we walked in, Diplo was on the tables. Had a few drinks, danced, and checked out his set.

Once again, here are the few photos: Diplo gallery.

Lord have mercy upon on my ear drums! This night was INSANE!!

The Institubes Paris Terror Club managed to destroy the EchoPlex enough to the point where they had to pull the plug early during Surkin’s set.

Here are the photos: Institubes.
