I had a photo shoot with Totally Michael before catching 2 Many DJ’s set at Vanguard in Hollywood. We rolled up in Franki Chan’s new car which has a rockin’ sound system. Who would think of doing anything else on a Monday night?
I only took a few photos because I actually wanted to catch there set. Plus Vanguard is known for its FUNKTION-ONE sound system.

As the 16th edition of The Love Festival approaches on Saturday, August 9th 2008 at Coliseum Grounds in Los Angeles. We would like to take a moment to reflect how far we have come and gone with the state of Dance music and why the forthcoming festival is very personal for us.
What started as an outlaw party 16 years ago has grown into a consistent platform for us to break new talents from not only stateside but around the globe. Every single one of the artist on the bill are all on the verge to break the ice in the electronic musical landscape or has contributed a great deal to our dance music culture in one form or another through their production works.
As you know, surely The Love Festival is a snippet of what’s to come in October for America’s largest Halloween Dance Music Festival–an opener, if you will, to the massive madness that could only be Monster Massive 2008. The production of The Love Festival has always been about the grander theme of life, celebrating our diversity and love for a youthful generation that’s on the verge of political change.
It’s a rare opportunity for us to let loose from our larger year-round productions. A chance for us to get intimate with our close friends, family and YOU–together as one to organically infuse a raw sense of connection and energy unlike any other.
We want to personally thank you for the love and support through the years–allowing us to do what we love in this life and look forward to seeing all of you at The Love Festival.

We renew our complicity with life and death, for in Summer it’s easier to say yes to what is. Happiness is that which happens, and everything moves and breathes in a golden light. In the long twilight of a Summer night, we are prone to believe that our wildest dreams can and will become manifest. It is time to go to bed, but. . . that Summer moon! And yet we are also invited to contemplate “summer grasses, all that is left of youthful dreams.” We wish such splendor and exuberance to be everlasting. Summer imperceptibly makes room for late Summer, which to the ancients’ considered a season in itself: Night downpours haunt our dreams and the dawn appears as if washed anew.
